Can it run GTA 5 on max ?
We don't recommend running video games on enterprise hardware. Check out Dell's Alienware PC's. They come highly recommended from our xByte team of gamers.
Great video
Thank you for watching and the feedback!
Can you tell me where on the motherboard i can provide AUX power to a GPU
What GPU are you trying to install and what riser configuration do you have?
if one only have 1 x FC630 node and the other 3 are blanks, can one control the fans or all fans must still run even though just 1 of 4 nodes is been used?
Much like iDRAC in rackmount servers, the CMC monitors and automatically controls the functions of cooling fans based on actual ambient and internal temperature measurements. According to the CMC user manual, you can only configure a fan offset to increase airflow. Your comments about starting the server remotely, etc, assume (which is usually the case) that the purchaser opted for an iDRAC level that uses it's own ethernet port, otherwise it depends on one of the main system ports, which won't be active if the main server isn't on.
Thank you for watching and providing your feedback!
For at least the last few years, Dell no longer uses that old standard id unless the customer requests it. By default, they provide a unique user/password and and they will tell you where that is found.
Thanks again for the feedback, dave_r!
Hallo xByte Technologies 🤔... maybe you know how to set up WAL on a Dell T350 server via network... hehe... by placing the nvme SSD on the HDD rack, you can install it directly or you still have to use a bracket...thank's
Setting up a WAL on a Dell T350 server involves several steps, including configuring the Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC). You can get more information in Dell's install guide: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/dl.dell.com/content/manual42643568-dell-emc-poweredge-t350-installation-and-service-manual.pdf?language=en-us.

is the ssd bays hot swapable??
Yes, the four 2.5" SSD drive bays are hot swappable.
The R7525 with Dual Milan 7313 supports RDIMM 2rx4 of 2666Mhz modules ?
The R7525 supports 2666 LRDIMMs, but also supports 3200 RDIMMs. However, depending on the DIMMs per channel, it may operate at 2933 when using RDIMMs. See page 19 of the R7525 Technical Guide: i.dell.com/sites/csdocuments/Product_Docs/en/poweredge-r7525-technical-guide.pdf .
@@xByteIT Yes, my question is because in this doc say LRDIMM at 2666 and not RDIMM at 2666, my modules are RDIMM@2666 then I'm confused
2:25 I think someone should tell him about AMD. 😅
We have AMD server videos too and get just as excited about some of those features. :D
I have the same server. HOw do i remove the two side Rails which are used to mount it in the Network Rack?
Without exact details, we cannot say for sure. Check out this Dell video tutorial and see if it helps: ua-cam.com/video/8OB-8fdXubI/v-deo.html. It is for an R740, but should be similar to your R540. If that doesn't cover your question/issue, please feel free to reach out to me directly (lyndsie.ezell@xbyte.com), and I'll connect you with someone on the support team.
Thx
what is the point of having a calculator listed when the link is block ?
Did this model feature an OCP Mezzanine card?
The PowerEdge R440 does have one LOM Mezzanine slot in the OCP form factor.
Our VDI runs on 96x 7615 with local storage (vsan) Great hardware. This year we extent our 12 powescale clusters.
Thank you for the feedback! If you have any questions about extending/upgrading your clusters, we have certified solutions architects that can help. :)
@@xByteIT In Germany?
OCP would more likely be a reference to robocop ... not C3PO from starwars ...
Great stuff!!!
I have one T610 , Looking forward to upgrade for Nutanix , so far Works fine with ESXi
@pablovillaronga, awesome, keep us posted on the upgrade!
it is a real shame the 18 bay LFF and 32 bay SFF options are gone.... (and especially so since it's not a physical lack of space) now you can't get that much storage without attaching some horribly loud JBOD, which defeats most of the point of the dell T series :/

I'm not able to power on my Dell PowerEdge VRTX M520. When i plug my power cable in and it power on, it tells me that "Waiting for CMC to come online. This will take several minutes" then later after several minutes of waiting the screen changes to red and tells me that Alert unable to find CMC. How do i fix this issue please.
Without knowing your hardware specifications, IT environment, etc., it's hard to say. It appears others have had similar issues and found a couple of different solutions: community.spiceworks.com/topic/2211259-dell-vrtx-cmc-not-responding.
02:12 LOL ?????? haha
Thank you for calling it out! Editing error (facepalm). It should have been a continuation of the previous text: “Up to 3 Full-Height and 5 Low-Profile PCIe Expansion Card Slots” that began at 1:57. 1:57 shows the five low-profile slots. 2:10 shows the three Full Height slots.
We got burned buying a 4u Itanium 2 server Unless it was in a server room at 40F, which we didn't have, so at room temperature it ran with fans at full blast which was noisy as h377. It was all but 100% unusuable for anything at all. EFU bios took forever to load, and we bought extra Itanium 2's for it but couldn't find the heatsinks.. anywhere. I wouldn't buy any of your server recommendations without you powering them up, so I could verify they were quiet. Just saying. All the tech specs run down in the world don't matter unless I can hear the thing running... or rather... not hear the thing running... from the next room over.
not meant to run in your office lol
To be clear, this would be any enterprise level server, not just Dell servers through xByte. We have certified engineers and solution architects on staff to help customers design solutions to meet their unique needs. In your case, the noise level would be something to discuss and would be taken into consideration. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction, and upon request, we could do a live demo for you to demonstrate noise levels.
beautiful explanation, thank you very much !
Thank you for the feedback, and we're glad you enjoyed it!
I have one and I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is that you're limited for assinging pci-e devices to blades. You need to cough up $1000 for unlimited pci-e assignments of blades.
Thank you for the feedback!
Sub system storage simple the best!
Dell Towers are versatile and a great option for small-medium businesses.
What is the Dual 10gb RJ45 dell part number for the LOM on the R7515?
We currently do not have the Dell part number listed. That feature is coming soon, but here is a link to view more information on the Dell Broadcom 57416 Dual Port 10GbE RJ45 LOM on our website: www.xbyte.com/products/cat-16530/.
Is the Idrac embedded on Motherboard?
Yes, the 1Gb iDRAC port is embedded on the motherboard.
Hi, the rails that they support I believe continues to be the same, right? In other works, same positions for screws, amd I right?
Hi @fanciosi, the rails for the R650 and R640 are not interchangeable. The R640 uses A7/A8/A10 rail kits, and R650 uses A14/A15/A16 rail kits.
stop that music in backround plz
What NVMe options are available to R640 ?
Hi @locusm, the 10-bay R640 is capable of NVMe, if the appropriate components are installed.
I can only dream. My home lab is rock'n an R720XD. I can't wait until these R750's get rotated out so I can grab one at a price I can afford.
I hear ya! I have an R720 (sadly not the XD version) for my NAS and 2 R730s running Proxmox in my home lab.
Careful you wish for, 14 and 15 gen servers are loud.
the rails?
Hi Guido, rail kits are available with the purchase of the R750. Options include 2U sliding ready rails, 2U sliding ready rails + cable management, or 2U static rails. You can find pricing and more information on our configurator page: www.xbyte.com/products/r750/.
Having just picked up an R740XD, I would agree that it's way better for storage applications. However, if you're not using it for storage/san etc... you might want to go with the R740, especially if you need to use any of the PCIe slots for video cards/accelerators or raid/networking cards.
I bought you this server 1 year ago but I had no luck getting a certified professional to set it up in a cluster mode (3 servers and 1 storage), can you help me with my configuration?
Hi, Ivan. I am sorry to hear about your support issues. Your rep is Josh Fabry. You can reach him directly at josh.fabry@xbyte.com. I have also passed along this information to him so he can follow up with you too. If you have any issues connecting with Josh, you can also reach me directly at lyndsie.ezell@xbyte.com.
price?
Hi Charchit, our server options are customizable, and pricing is based on the builds that you select. You can visit our custom configurator page to see the price ranges: www.xbyte.com/products/r550/. If you have any questions or for a custom quote, you can contact sales@xbyte.com. Thank you!
My ears are bleeding from that god awful music

What is the hard storage capacity and its storage capacity that is built in with iy
Are you asking for the storage capacity for the Dell PowerEdge R7525 or the R7515?
Great video! Well done guys!!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice explanation and comparison of these platforms!
Thanks for the feedback!
How much is the price and how many terra can it bear to store
The price depends on the build of the server and varies based on your CPU, Memory, and Drive selections. The R750 has 32 DDR4 Memory DIMM slots (8TB Max) and up to 368.84TB max for drives.
15,00,000 lakhs
OWC stocks the 256gb 3200mhz LRDIMMs under 1k each for R750 if you ever needed to max out to 32x256gb - 8TB Max Ram -
Hi, Do you think the K1 Grid Nvidia card will also work great witht he R720 XD??
NVIDIA GRID K1 draws power from 1x 6-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 130 W maximum. Although it may work it is not on the supported GPU matrix for validated GPUs from Dell. The R720 can support two 300W, full‐length, double‐wide GPUs or up to four 150W, full‐length, single‐wide GPUs. GPUs are either actively or passively cooled. The GPUs are installed on the PCIe x16 2.0 interfaces available on riser 2 and GPU‐optional riser 3. A system must have the optional riser 3 with a single x16 slot to support more than two GPUs. Because GPUs demand high power, each GPU has up to two power connectors for power delivery. The GPU enablement kit is required for internal GPU installation. The kit contains the power cables and other items to enable GPU support on the R720 chassis. Richard Jones Sr. Sales Engineer xByte Technologies
